Job Description

Wellbeing Pharmacy United Kingdom Limited are searching for a Branch Manager who is GPhC registered Pharmacist (England) or equivalent qualification in the EEA countries — we can support the fitness to practice or development plan towards this.

Wellbeing Pharmacy is a UKVI sponsoring organisation, however, we cannot entertain pharmacist who are not UK or EEA qualified for this role. If you are a graduate in pharmacy outside the EU, your qualification requires further study and not be valid for immediate pharmacy practice.

Duties/Responsibilities

Your main duty is to practice as a registered UK pharmacist following the professional standards set out by the General Pharmaceutical Council. As a contractor of the National Health Service for England, you are also expected to provide both NHS and locally commissioned services.

We provide training on services including privately paid ones when required by the Employer. We have opportunities for training as an Independent Prescriber after passing your probation and showing great business promise after at least 18 months of employment.

As a branch manager and pharmacist you are expected to:

  1. The lead in achieving your business KPI ensuring operational high standards that are making a difference to the financial sustainability of your branch.
  2. Local clinical governance lead ensuring patient and colleague safety,
  3. Managing your branch human resource including rota preparation or supervising a delegate to prepare them, manage sickness and attendance concerns, dealing with local disciplinary procedures, implementing the SOP and Staff Handbook rules, and escalating all relevant HR issues to the right head office personnel.
  4. Branch safeguarding lead and main liaison with local authorities.
  5. Lead the implementation of health and safety protocols including accident reporting etc.
  6. Main point of contact of local customer and patient services concerns.
  7. Supervise the retail and cash handling aspect.
  8. Lead mentor both for pharmacy and non-clinical training aspects or delegate the same informing the head office of these arrangements.
  9. Reporting all operational and clinical concerns to the head office.
  10. Be the branch point of contact for local NHS and public health activities, and coordinate upward communication to the Superintendent of matters relevant to services delivery contracts and payments.
